The Merivale Gardens Community Association (MGCA) is a volunteer organization serving the residents of this Ottawa, Ontario community. It is bordered on the north by West Hunt Club Road, on the south by Slack Road, on the east by Merivale Road, and on the west by Woodroffe Avenue. There are approximately 160 homes in this neighbourhood.
As a community association, our purpose includes the following activities:
we organize annual events within the community to foster relationships among our residents.
we facilitate communication within the community through the maintenance of an email distribution list, Facebook groups, and this web site.
we provide the means to unite and deal with matters of common concern.

Neighbourhood Watch...
Held annually. This year it will take place on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 11:00 am in Merivale Garden's Park. Bring your own basket.
Held annually on a nice weekend in early May. Will be on Saturday, May 3, 2025 with a rain date of Sunday, May 4.
Held during the month of May. Street representatives will visit their assigned areas during the month of May to collect $10. The dues can also be paid at the corn roast in September. You can pay by cheque, cash, and now e-Transfer.
Held from time to time in the summer.
Will be held on September 6, 2025 in the park, usually on the Saturday after Labour Day weekend. Free feast of corn on the cob and hot dogs with a potluck dessert table.
Held annually on Halloween night in lieu of door to door trick-or-treating. Usually meet around 5:30 pm at the corner of Arco and Jay.
Held once a month on a weekday morning or afternoon. Social gatherings in someone's house or at the park in warmer months. Contact Maureen or Jerry Fiori if you want to be added to the mailing list for specific dates and times.
