As reported from Agnes Warda, Glens Community Association

It was very difficult to establish something tangible from the city staff but finally the report is ready and will be discussed at PEC and ARAC.

On April 13, the Planning and Environment Committee is scheduled to deliberate the Rate Structure Review Report, which will be available to the public on April 6.

IT IS STATED THAT, Further study of how best to manage the recovery of stormwater and roadside drainage costs in 2010, for report back to Council with recommendations in Q1, 2011. The report also mention an elusive option E.

My concern is that in the previous reports the word unserviced communities was used whether now the report only refers to rural landowners. This is something we need to address as those objections mentioned in the report refers to privately serviced communities as well. Whether this is semantics or omission we need to find out and react. If we all ask the same question (i,e, to be included as privately serviced communities not just rurals) perhaps we will succeed. It is a common approach for the staff to ignore our existence.
