WHO ARE WE?

The Merivale Gardens Community Association (MGCA) is a volunteer organization serving the residents of this Ottawa, Ontario community. It is bordered on the north by West Hunt Club Road, on the south by Slack Road, on the east by Merivale Road, and on the west by Woodroffe Avenue. There are approximately 160 homes in this neighbourhood.

 

As a community association, our purpose includes the following activities:

Sept 10, 2022 - Corn Roast

Held annually in the park, usually on the Saturday after Labour Day weekend. Free feast of corn on the cob and hot dogs with a potluck dessert table. The Corn Roast is back after a 2 year COVID-hiatus! Bring your appetites for a fun afternoon/evening at the park!

Oct 31, 2021 - Halloween Parade 

Meet at 5:15 pm at the corner of Arco and Jay for the Halloween Parade in lieu of door to door trick-or-treating. Let's hope for a repeat of last year's success!

Oct 31, 2020 - Halloween Parade 

Meet at 5:45 pm at the corner of Arco and Jay for the Halloween Parade in lieu of door to door trick-or-treating. The start of a new tradition.

Spring Clean Up

Held annually on a nice weekend in early May.

Social Drop-Ins

Held once a month on a weekday morning. Social gatherings in someone's house, at the park in warmer months, or on Zoom during COVID-19 restrictions. Contact Maureen or Jerry at 613-820-0176 or maureen26fiori@gmail.com to be added to the mailing list for specific dates and times.

Held from time to time in the summer.
